He would even customize his shoes, clothing, skateboards, etc. Bill earned a BFA in painting from San Jose State University in 1975 but considers his education to be ongoing. He is currently a member of the Art League, Pajaro Valley Arts Council, & the Pacific Grove Art Center. He has been a frequent participating artist in Santa Cruz County Open Studios Art Tour since 2008. He has been the recipient of many awards. Bill loves painting outside because of the intensity of color and the added sensations of sound and movement. He also finds himself restless in a studio. He appreciates the ever changing atmospheric conditions as well. Often the vista view is so panoramic that he will spend several days on a location to complete a larger canvas. Bill works with several mediums, but primarily he uses oils when painting on location. Please visit his website: www.kennanngallery.com
